Product Description

Opal collectors- this may be the pendant for you! Boulder Opal, the noted Opal from the Outback of Australia found with its host rock intact, can be found in many forms. This particular gem is from the Koroit Opal fields in south Queensland, known for producing golden brown Ironstone matrix laced with veins of colorful Opal. This particular Pendant was cut into a freeform oval-ish shape measuring almost 1.5 inches long, then drilled at the top to allow a chain to pass through it. This one is reversible: side a) has lighter colored matrix with multicolor pinfire effect side b) has darker brown matrix with a void running north to south, and larger patches of blue-green color. The sides of this piece are even more gemmy than the fronts, so as the piece is worn the blue, green, orange, red and gold hues dance across the gem. This is a stunning item- sure to make any Opal lover happy, especially someone who loves more organic pieces; this one truly needs to be seen in person for full prismatic effect. Currently shown on a 20 inch 18k yellow gold chain- contact us to discuss other chain options.

Details: natural Australian Boulder Opal from Koroit, Queensland weighing 49.48ct (drilled) with all colors present on 20 inch 18k yellow gold wheat chain.
