Rare natural Opals are a Federal Way Custom Jewelers specialty, and this fabulous pendant is a perfect example. The Opal, faceted following the lines of the rough into a freeform polygon, has been partially drilled at the top and suspended from a white gold bail, almost like a Pearl. The bail is angular and substantial, to mimic the lines of the Opal without dominating the piece. The Opal is really the star of the show here: the fully translucent Ethiopian crystal Opal is bursting with a kaleidoscope of colors, reflected from every surface. Almost like a crystal hanging in the window, this gem refracts light and bounces it across the room (see pic three)! Every color is in equal splendor here, with vivid green, blue, purple, red, orange and gold, flashing within and across the surface of the Opal. It measures 33mm long.
