Product Description

This is the perfect engagement ring for a Scottish or Irish bride to be. This ring was custom made for one of our clients who was just such a lady, but she traded it in a few years later when she decided to move to a smaller yellow gold design. While it is pre-owned, it is in excellent condition, has been fully refinished by us, and comes with the same 1-year warranty as our new designs. We were happy to get it in trade, since the Diamond is fantastic! It is longer and thinner than most marquise Diamonds (11mm long!), making it look bigger and more sparkly; it is GIA certified colorless and VS clarity to boot! The platinum mounting is tastefully designed to present the Diamond as centerstage, but also has Diamonds and Celtic design work that add interest and sparkle from every angle. This is a beautiful engagement ring that is sure to please.

Details: 950 platinum ring with natural 1.15ct marquise Diamond (GIA certified, F color, VS2 Clarity, Excellent Cut) with .35ct Diamond accents (VS GH). Accompanied by GIA #2226935094 and NAGL lab report #1077093).

On either side of the center stone are Celtic trinity knots, aka triquetras, which are early Pagan symbols common in Scotland and Ireland. The trinity knot has been used for thousands of years and has had an evolving symbolism. In the early days it was thought to be associated with the Pagan goddess of war, the Morrigan. In the middle ages, as Christianity entered the Celtic kingdoms and morphed with Paganism, it came to represent the Holy Trinity. Many current wearers like to think of the knot tying together the land, sea and sky of the Celtic lands and representing the protection of the Triple Goddess. However you choose to interpret the symbolism, the trinity knot is an iconic emblem of Irish and Scottish heritage.
