Gold Ring with Large Merlot-Red Spinel & Diamonds

This ring is set with an unusual natural Spinel in a merlot-red hue. Equally unusual is the size- this natural Spinel is over 3ct while still loupe clean and beautiful, not common in this rare gem family. What we particularly love about this gem is the changing nature of the color; moving from a mauve-red to a deep magenta depending on the light conditions it is viewed under. The classic gold ring setting features two rows of channel set natural Diamonds which accentuate the Spinel. The ring was likely designed as a right-hand ring, but due to Spinel’s 8 hardness it could easily be worn as an alternative engagement ring, or August birthstone item for someone who doesn’t love Peridot. Easily sizable to any size.
