This Aquamarine engagement ring was the result of a very cool custom process. The client inherited a very small Diamond ring from his grandmother, and initially wanted to trade it toward an Aquamarine engagement ring for his then girlfriend. We had a better idea- why not re-use and up-cycle the heirloom ring, and choose an Aquamarine centerpiece? It was a great way to preserve sentimental value and save money at the same time. To do this, we removed the central Diamond, installed a new 4-prong head, set the Aquamarine, then restored the milgrain finish to bring back the vintage look. The end result is a beautiful ring, totally current in design, yet with vintage aspects that tell a story.
