Huge Peacock Hued Black Opal Solitaire Pendant

If you’re looking for a great deal on a HUGE solid black opal, you’ve found it with this pendant! This amazing Opal solitaire necklace was sourced from the estate of a local lapidary for whom it was his prized possession. The Opal is from Lightning Ridge, Australia and has a dark grey base with a kaleidoscope of colors shimmering over it’s surface, reminiscent of a Peacock’s tail. The gem weighs over 16cts, as such, it has a large surface area to display all of the magnificent blue, green, and orange hues. The setting is a classic basket-solitaire pendant of the 1970s, crafted in white gold with a large bail to accommodate almost any chain (it comes with the 14k white gold 16 inch chain shown here, which would display the pendant higher on the neck). The pendant measures 1.5 inches long.
