Large Victorian Diamond Pendant with Rose Cut Diamonds

This original antique Diamond necklace is a relic of the glamorous Victorian era. As women’s fashion changed in the 19th century, so too did the jewelry they wore; Diamond necklaces became a hot commodity as neck lines began to lower. This yellow gold pendant is encrusted with over 2ctw of natural old rose cut Diamonds, dropping over an inch in length with yellow gold filigree details. Rose cut Diamonds were common at the time but scarce now; they are flat on the back but faceted on top (like a geodesic dome). These rose cut Diamonds were designed to capture even the softest flickers of candlelight, as such they prove super sparkly in modern lighting. This is truly an amazing piece, in excellent condition, and quite a rarity on the market today. It doesn’t get more sparkly, or classy, than this!
