Mid Century Marquise Diamond Engagement Ring

This stunning mid-century engagement ring is a true survivor, coming to us in new-old-stock, unworn condition, purchased from the estate of a retired jeweler. It was made early in the history of marquise cut Diamonds, when they were first becoming popular. The marquise cut was favored among those with long fingers, since it covers more square footage on the hand and looks especially elegant. This particular natural Diamond is of super fine quality, with a wonderful cut that sparkles from every angle. It is set with a single Diamond accent on either side, but there is also a flat white gold area which looks like a baguette at first glance. The white Diamonds are set in white gold (neutral, and more durable) but the shank of the ring is yellow gold. This best-of-both-worlds setting means it will go with everything- a perfect engagement ring.
