Modern Red Garnet & Diamond January Birthstone Pendant

This classic pendant is set with a fiery red Garnet of the pyrope subfamily, perfect for a January baby. While we are fond of the fancy Garnet varieties, like green Tsavorite or orange Spessartite, there is a special place in our hearts (and our jewelry wardrobes) for red Garnets like this. In fact, I don’t think any gemstone does the deep fire-red or brick-red hue better than a natural Garnet. With a more saturated tone than a Ruby, and with a more true red color than a Rubellite, Garnets in the Pyrope family offer a beautiful and festive red color. This gem was mined in Mozambique and is notable both for its size and since it has a great richness without being overly dark. This is a great Garnet pendant, sure to please.
