This ring is about as close to modern art as you can get in fine jewelry! The center gem is a medium cornflower blue Ceylon Sapphire in an unusual wide triangle (or trillion) shape. Whenever we have a gem with an asymmetrical outline we have to get creative on the mounting. In this case we used sweeping arcs of Diamonds with negative space between them: the curves match the rounded edges of the Sapphire, and the open shank gives it an airy presence on the hand. The end product is one very groovy ring that could function on the right hand, as a middle finger ring, engagement ring, etc.
