Nouveau Platinum & Diamond Lavalier Pendant

Elegance, in pendant form! That’s what this Art Nouveau platinum, Pearl & Diamond necklace is to us. These long drop-style pendants are known as “lavaliers” and rose to fashion in France around the turn of the century, at the same time that necklines of dresses plunged and women had opportunities to wear this style of necklace. This particular lavalier pendant is unusual, both for its platinum composition and length- it measures almost 2 inches long! The entire lavalier was hand fabricated in solid platinum with incredible intricacy. The piece features four old Euro cut Diamonds, each bezel set, and a thin row of seed Pearl accents. This is truly a graceful and elegant antique pendant, perfect to wear with that little black dress or any formal V-shape neckline. This piece comes on its original hand-made platinum chain that measures 18 inches long, but you could certainly wear it on another chain if desired.
