Nouveau Platinum Filigree & Diamond Cocktail Ring

This beautiful platinum filigree & Diamond ring was made at the tail end of Nouveau, right before the Art Deco Era reigned supreme. We see some subtle influences of both here- the overall shape of the ring is a little bit Deco, as are the European Cut Diamonds and intricate filigree work. However, the bezel setting, curved lines, and graceful profile on the hand are classic Nouveau styles which make this a beautiful and unusual ring. The ring features a half carat old European Cut Diamond of very fine quality which is bezel set in the center, surrounded by intricate wire filigree and additional Diamonds which twinkle out at the viewer. Due to the softer nature of the platinum this ring has worn in places, which have then been restored at some point in its past- the shank has been replaced with a thicker white gold one, and the overall profile is slightly skewed; neither of these are visible on the hand or without very close inspection. We have cleaned and inspected this ring and it is now fit for another 100 years of wear for the lucky lady who gets to slide this on her hand.
