Peachy Orange Oregon Sunstone & Diamond Pendant

This Oregon Sunstone pendant is a staff favorite since it combines a beautiful piece of jewelry with cool gemology and local interest! The pendant is solid 14k white gold, with yellow gold prongs holding a 3ct+ natural Oregon Sunstone. This Sunstone is classic of the species- a light red color, with peachy orange undertones, which sparkles like crazy. Upon close inspection, one case see small glittering inclusions within the gem- this is called schiller, where flakes of copper become trapped within the Sunstone when it was formed. This is natural and untreated Sunstone, a variety of Feldspar similar to Moonstone, and it is only found in one location in Eastern Oregon- hence Sunstone is the Oregon state gemstone.
