Platinum Engagement Ring set with Peachy Pink Tourmaline

This ring is a hybrid between a vintage platinum engagement ring mounting and one of our beautiful Tourmalines. The Deco mounting came to us missing the center stone and prongs which allowed us the creative freedom to choose something special to set in it. We picked this gem, from a recent discovery of “sunset” colored Tourmaline in Nigeria. Most pink Tourmalines are just that: pink. We have never known them to have orange tones, until now. These Nigerian Tourmalines are a true peachy pink; a pink kissed with orange and rose hues that is truly stunning. More pink than an Imperial Topaz and brighter than a Padparadscha Sapphire, this is a gem with no rival. This oval Tourmaline was cut by one of our favorite lapidaries and has great size and a luscious color that we fawn over. Photos don’t do it justice. The peachy pink Tourmaline is set in a modern rose gold head which nestles between the Diamond-accented arms of the vintage platinum setting. Magnificent!
