The client who designed this ring had been looking for this particular shade of purple, more of a plum color, for some time. Amethysts were too dark, Sapphires appeared too pink, Tourmalines were too included, so finally we found this Spinel in the perfect shade. It helps too that the stone is custom cut into a Portuguese round shape which has over 100 facets to increase the stone’s brilliance. Set into a modern halo mounting this is one awesome right hand ring, but could also be worn as an engagement ring.
