This ring is a custom-estate hybrid piece, where we recycled a vintage cocktail ring mounting and set it with one of our gemstones. The mounting was made sometime in the last 20 years and features baguette and round diamonds in sprays around the center gem. Originally set with a damaged pearl, we chose to use the mounting for this rainbow Moonstone instead. While most Moonstones are relatively common, this transparent and poly-chromatic variety from India is quite rare. The colors move within the gem similarly to an Opal with even greater luminosity, resulting in one enchanting ring!
