Product Description
This amazing vintage ring is a double rarity- a rare gem in an even rarer mounting. The center stone is a piece of Gem Silica Chrysocolla, the rarest member of the Quartz family, mined only in Arizona. This rare Gem Silica is colored by traces of copper, similar to Paraiba Tourmaline, which give the gem its amazing bright teal hue, and wonderful translucency. This amazing gem is set into a fantastic custom ring mounting from the retro period. The ring is crafted in three colors of gold- yellow, pink and green- in a floral pattern, reminiscent of Black Hills Gold but with a bit more finesse. These floral tricolor pieces were popular in the ebullient post-War years, a precursor to the designs made popular in the 70s and 80s. This is a long ring, measuring almost 1.5 inches on the finger, but is easily sizable to any finger.
