Rectangular Teal Tourmaline Pendant with Diamond Halo

This pendant is as custom as it gets: a fully custom & hand-made setting by us, plus a custom-cut teal Tourmaline by John Dyer. We designed the rectangular pendant around the center stone, using a fluted yellow gold bail to suspend the white gold Diamond halo and central Tourmaline. The Tourmaline is fascinating- a deep bluish green hue, and carved on the back to provide extra sparkle. John Dyer is an award-winning lapidary and gemstone artist, known for bringing the best out of the gems he cuts. He has taken this teal Tourmaline and turned it into a work of jewelry art. We chose to set this stone in a more traditional mounting to play on the contrast between the rich Tourmaline and colorless Diamonds. The piece measures approximately 1 inch long, so it could easily be worn high on the neckline or low over a blouse. Stunning!
