Retro Brooch or Pendant with Blue Zircon Daisy

Crafted circa 1950, this stunning Retro flower brooch was haute couture at the time- imagine the dazzlingly dressed damsels dancing down 5th Avenue! The piece makes a stylized Daisy, with each piece of the flower cast separately: yellow gold stem & petals, rose gold leaves, and a platinum bud. Bezel set in the center of the Daisy is a top-gem natural Blue Zircon in a brilliantly beautiful round cut. The platinum bud is set with old-cut white Diamonds which dance against the goldwork. When this was made, many clients would want their items to be as versatile as possible; this piece was no exception. The jeweler who made this brooch modified one of the leaves where it attaches to the stem, such that it can function as a bail for a chain- thus allowing this fabulous brooch to be worn as a necklace too!
