Exceptional. Stunning. Captivating. Few words can describe the beauty of this Opal necklace. The Opal is a rare brown-base crystal Opal from the newer deposits near Welo in Ethiopia. The Brown base serves as contrast to the play of color, similarly to the famed Black Opals from Australia. This particular Opal features the coveted Harlequin and Flagstone patterns, where uniform chunks of color play across the surface in stunning hues of green, gold, and red. This gem has skin-to-skin color, meaning that the Opal can be worn reversibly and be attractive either way which is coveted by Opal fans. To enable this, the Opal is set in a thin yellow gold bezel and attached to a yellow gold rope chain that can easily be worn on either side.
