Rarely do we see Sapphires of this quality- a rich intense blue without any color modifiers, untreated, and not too dark. We purchased the stone as a large cushion cut with top color but poor cutting, so we sent it to our favorite lapidary and gave him license to do what he saw fit and the result was spectacular. We set the stone is a mounting that uses yellow and white diamonds to contrast the royal blue sapphire. A “wow” engagement ring for sure.
