Top Quality Black Opal & Diamond Pendant- Lightning Ridge GEM

There’s not much we can say about this Opal pendant that you can’t see for yourself in the images. Believe it or not, this black Opal is even more mesmerizing in person! Made by a jeweler friend of ours who kept this after he retired, it is on the market for the first time here. The custom 18k gold pendant was designed with a nod to the Art Deco, with an architectural vibe and solid build. The pendant is perfectly symmetrical, set with the Opal in the center and encrusted with large natural Diamond accents. This Opal is what is known as a “top gem quality” solid Black Opal from Lightning Ridge, NSW Australia. This mine is known for producing the only true Black Opals, and the “red on black” Opals like this one. This gem contains EVERY color of the rainbow, with incredible brightness. This Opal has the perfect blend of color movement without being directional- yes, the color varies by moving the Opal, but there is no bad side to it. This would look equally great worn on the skin or low over a blouse- truly a top quality Opal pendant.
