Unisex Yellow Gold & Teal Sapphire Ring, “Kabana”

This fun unisex ring is set with a HUGE blue-green Sapphire. Perfect as a gents ring or for the ladies, the mounting is classic- a simply yellow gold setting with the Sapphire bezel set east-west in the center. However this one is more interesting than most, since it has the most unusual denim blue to teal Sapphire set in the center. In some lighting more green and in others more blue, this Sapphire has fascinating striations, known as color zoning, visible at certain angles. The gem has a velvety appearance that makes it more understated on the hand, so we decided to give this ring a soft satin finish to complete the look. The mounting is sturdy and the Sapphire secure enough for everyday wear, yet the ring is hollow underneath so it is not too heavy on the hand. This bargain estate piece is signed “Kabana” and was likely made within the last 20 years.
