We set this Sapphire into an FWCJ original ring design that uses natural white and yellow Diamonds to accent the gem and provide a contrast that makes the amazing blue color pop. The Sapphire is one we have been holding onto for some time, since these are quite scarce on the market today. It was mined and faceted in Sri Lanka, and is totally natural and untreated, which is especially rare in this deep royal blue color. This Sapphire is dark blue, but not overly dark, and flashes deep azure from every angle. To protect this gem, we set it low into the mounting with double prongs such that it could be worn as an engagement ring or everyday right hand item. The Diamonds come up the shank cathedral-style, providing great sparkle and contrast to the intrigue of the dark Sapphire.
