Product Description
This dazzling Diamond daisy pendant is a Victorian treasure and example of true jeweler’s craftsmanship. Each daisy petal was cast individually then assembled into multiple tiers. Some of the flower petals are set with stunning old mine cut Diamonds; others are covered in intense cobalt-blue enamel, as is the centerpiece. This is highly intricate guilloche enamel work that features detailed metalwork overlaid with the translucent blue glass- photos don’t do it justice. The contrast between the sparkling white Diamonds, glossy blue enamel, and matte oxidized silver create a stunning effect. This piece came to us via a European auction house and was a pin/pendant combo, but we chose to remove the pin mechanism such that the large (1.5 inch) piece would lay flat on the neckline.
Details: 925 sterling silver and gold pendant set with 1.70cttw old mine cut and single cut Diamonds (SI-I1 clarity, G-K color), circa 1880.
