Victorian Gold Love Knot Stud Earrings with Diamonds

Earrings are single handedly the rarest item in antique jewelry- women rarely pierced their ears, so jewelers made very few of them. This makes this pair of Victorian stud earrings a true rarity. The yellow gold love knot style earrings are made in substantial 14k yellow gold; they have been “acid washed” or “bloomed” to give them a darker gold color. Each love knot is centered by a gold star, and the center of the star is an old mine cut Diamond. These antique Diamonds add amazing sparkle to the velvety gold earrings, making them very elegant on the lobe. These would make great everyday gold earrings but could easily be dressed up for special occasions. We believe the posts were replaced sometime in the 20th century but the earrings remain in excellent condition.
