Vintage Gold Cocktail Ring with Half Carat Natural Alexandrite

This fantastic vintage cocktail ring is set with a natural Alexandrite- making this one of the most distinctive dazzlers we have offered! The amazing 18k gold setting is filigreed and open, creating an elongated dome of gold which sits atop the finger. Nestled into this filigree work is a single oval Alexandrite, just over 1/2ct in size, and four Diamond accents. The Alexandrite is beautiful, exhibiting a moderate color change from a teal green in daylight to a greyish purple in incandescent lighting- we have tried to show this in the photos. Whoever designed this ring did a great job of creating a larger presence on the hand with a more modestly sized center gemstone, which is always the goal when working with rare natural gemstones like Alexandrite. This ring is easily sizable and could be worn as a right hand ring or a statement ring on a middle or pointer finger.
