Product Description
We rarely get the opportunity to offer Jade in fine quality since it is very rare, and quite costly, so when this one came up at auction, we had to jump on it! The ring is circa 1970, crafted in solid 18k gold, then set with a saddle of what we call “Imperial Jade.” This refers to the upper echelons of Jadeite Jade from Burma, with rich green hue, even color saturation, and high translucency. This gem literally glows with an eerie green shimmer on the hand. This one is accompanied by lab paperwork stating natural Jade, no polymers or dies, so the color is totally natural. Pieces like this are hard to find in the US market, but we do occasionally find deals in vintage jewelry for discerning Jade collectors.
Details: 18k yellow gold unisex ring set with saddle-shaped green Jade (Jadeite, untreated) measuring 21x8mm, circa 1970s.
