Vintage Retro Style Black Opal & Diamond Pendant

If you love all things fine Opal then you will love this retro Opal pendant. The pre-owned pendant, designed in heavy 18k yellow gold, was designed with nods to the Art Deco and Hollywood Glam eras, but likely dates to the retro 1960s years. It is set in the center with a 7ct pear shape black Opal with incredible play of color. The gem has a dark grey body color, and a green-blue base hue, with rolling ribbons of red and orange dancing across the surface. The gem is incredibly bright, rating a B5 on the brightness scale, and only directional in the best of color play ways. The pear shape Opal is accented with a v-shaped row of Diamonds prong set beneath the pear, and a channel set row of Diamonds atop it. A fan of textured gold makes the bail, which accommodates a substantial chain- the client who purchased this piece is wearing it on a longer box chain, over blouses and sweaters. Truly one of the best estate Opal pieces we have ever sold!
