Yellow Chrysoberyl and Diamond Ring

The gemstone Chrysoberyl has many wonderful traits: it is totally natural, occurs in a wide variety of pleasing hues, is a very durable 8.5/10 hardness, and has amazing brilliance and optical properties. This particular gem is a pure sunflower yellow hue without the green or brown overtones we so often see, and hails from a newer mine in southern India. We set this gem in a white gold mounting that uses marquise and round diamonds to frame the center stone. This nod to the Art Deco influence is further seen with the split claw prongs holding the center gem. Connoisseurs will see this ring and know it is a Chrysoberyl, everyone else will think it is the finest Canary Diamond they have ever seen! This ring is finger size 7 but is easily sizable up or down.
